We offer a program in our nonprofit that can help our community called the help program, along with wrap around services for adults and children. Families therapy,
clinical therapy, substance abuse treatment, special education, public assistance housing, healthcare.

Health – We are aware of the statistics tells us that about 25% of African American seeks mental health treatments. Compared to 40% whites Americans. Unequal access to health care is one of the major contributors to this disparity. Nearly 10% of black people in the US do not have health insurance. Compared to 5.2 Hispanic
white people.

Three points:
*How stigma affects Black Americans, its often taboo in the black communities, if we can break the stigma, we can get people the mental health they need.
*Which barriers to care exist
*How to find culturally sensitive care

Education – Our kids are still below the national average for educational attainment in high school, and that gap is even higher for college attainment rates as 26% OF
Blacks Americans ages 25 and older have attained a bachelor’s degree, while the national average is 36%.

Leadership – In our community in leadership roles, it’s very important to have leaders that processes these qualities.
1.) Leaders of excellent communicators.
2.) Leaders with confident in their abilities.
3.) Leaders have a clear vision and goal oriented.
4.) Leaders show respect for others.
And to be able to have these qualities a leader most.
